32 | 08/12/2012 | Hola, tengo una duda respecto del NIE, es que no encuentro en ningún sitio la confirmación de que hay que substituir para el cálculo la letra inicial X por un 0, la Y por un 1, y la Z por un 2, y así sucesivamente... ¿sabes si realmente esto es así? ¿Me puedes dar alguna fuente de referencia oficial de ésto? Muchas gracias.

En realidad el mérito no es mio. Salvo, quizá, por el trabajo de convertir la exportación a CSV (conservando fórmulas) de la hoja de cálculo a código PHP que eso sí es un trabajo de chinos...
Pero con vim es acojonante lo fácil que resulta hacerlo (y sin meter la gamba...) si controlas los "motions"... ;-)

32 | 08/12/2012 | El que haurien (o hauriem perquè soc enginyer en informàtica) d'inventar és saber si els números estan en català o en castellà.
Amb la meva experiència amb l'anglès, quan el vaig renovar no em vaig ni fixar primer ni molestar després a canviar el ELCHE i el ALICANTE. Per desgràcia després no em van donar alternativa i ara posa ELX i ALACANT (i en comptes de C/ posa CRER.). Imagino que lo normal seria que posés per llei ELX/ELCHE i ALACANT/ALICANTE però em van dir que no era possible, el que sembla difícil de creure, però una xorrada més o menys...
O sigui que sembla que ja estem ben marcats pel DNI.

2 | 18/11/2012 | Sobre la transparencia hay otro pedazo que también es toda una perla pero, he preferido no meterlo dentro del artículo porque aunque el realismo cínico del secretario es delicioso no comparto la opinión que defiende.
Más bien la detesto; más cuando sé que sirve de pretexto para mantener las zonas oscuras de la política que hoy en día más que nunca han demostrado que pueden llevar a un país al precipicio por ocultar la corrupción y la inutilidad de los políticos.
De todas formas creo que es muy interesante, al menos para conocer argumentos de quienes rechazan la transparencia directamente o como Sir Humphrey toreando al a gente con cinismo.
Sir Humphrey: I understand your anxiety about the new government’s fixation on what they are pleased to call ‘transparency’, but you are distressing yourself unnecessarily. It afflicts all incoming administrations. It used to be called ‘open government’, and reflects the frustrations they felt when they were in opposition and could not find out what was going on, combined with an eagerness to discover and publicise the deception, distortions and disasters of their predecessors.
But it does not last beyond the first few months. As time passes they realise they have more to lose than to gain from public knowledge of what they are up to. Each month increases their tally of catastrophic misjudgements, pathetic deceptions, humiliating retreats and squalid compromises. They very soon come to understand that sound and effective government is only possible if people do not know what you are doing. The Freedom of Information Act was the greatest blow to firm and decisive administration since the execution of King Charles I. We are gradually but steadily pruning its worst excesses, but it takes time.
Quite soon our new masters will realise that secrecy may be the enemy of democracy, but it is the foundation of government. Where would we be if Eisenhower has succumbed to calls for transparency about our plans for D-day? It is not a coincidence that ‘secretary’ originally meaning a humble clerk, the repository of secret information, has come to designate so many of the highest offices – Secretary General, Secretary of State, Home Secretary, Foreign Secretary and (if I may say so) Permanent Secretary. We should of course give the greatest possible encouragement to the idea of transparency, but in any particular case we will continue with our established practice of making public only that information which is already known or can easily be found out some other way.

Está ubicado en la antigua cárcel de Torrero, entre la avenida de América y Fray Julián Garcés.
